The Living Forest (59) : Blackberry blossom

At this time of the year (late spring, early summer) the blossoms of the rapidly growing Blackberry are omnipresent in the forest.

The soft and juicy fruits are popular for use in desserts, jams and sometimes wine.

Evidence from archeological excavations suggests that Blackberries have been consumed by humans since thousands of years.
