Castle ‘den Brandt’ at Antwerp (Belgium)

Description

A first castle was built on this spot in Louis XVI-style in 1790 and was rebuilt in late-classical style in 1870.

A fountain known as "the dancing nymphs" graces the castle's front garden since 1910.

The castle served mostly as a summer residence ("Maison de Plaisance") for the rich nobility where garden parties, recitals and festivities took place regularly.
