Castle ‘Ooidonk’ (2) at Bachte-Maria-Leerne (Belgium)

Here’s a second picture of castle ‘Ooidonk’, showing the other side this time.

The castle was originally constructed as a medieval fortress in the 14th century, but was completely rebuilt in Spanish Flemish renaissance style in the 16th & 17th century.

The castle reminds of some of the famous French Loire castles.
