Castle ‘Genoels-Elderen’ at Riemst (Belgium)

It’s the only wine castle of Belgium with 25 hectares of vineyards, the largest wine domain in the country.

The first castle on this spot was built in the 13th century, but it burned down completely in 1407.

The castle was rebuilt, but in the 18th century destroyed by the French army.

The current classicistic construction was built in 1859.
