The Middle Ages (68) : Court Jester

This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.

Each castle had a court jester, whose unrewarding task it was to please and entertain the Lord and Lady of the castle.
If his performance was weak and moderate, he could end up in the dungeon.....

The colourful court jester in my shot was also an extremely talented bagpiper !
