The Middle Ages (100) : Combat instructor

Description

This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.

When a knight was too old to go to war and to fight, then the best of them became combat instructor to train new candidate knights.

The inscription 'aede regi' on his helmet means 'the temple of the King' and was exclusively reserved for meritorious ex-crusaders.
