Swamp hike (5)

Description

This is a 5th. landscape shot showing the swampy peat moors of ‘Hohes Venn’, the greatest (4500 ha) and oldest National Park of Belgium and the most unique nature biotop in the land.

The whole area consists mainly of swamps which can only be traversed by using the wooden paths made by the local foresters (a daring exploit).
It is nearly impossible to leave those wooden paths, as the swamp starts IMMEDIATELY to suck your feet and legs in the depth and the more you struggle to get out, the more the swamp sucks…….
This makes swamp hiking a unique experience.

***** Perhaps, some of you may wonder how I managed to photograph this shot. Well, try to guess it.
I shall write here the solution of the mystery tomorrow morning.
I wonder if there’s anybody who has an idea……. *****

SOLUTION : I was standing on a crossroad. Yes, they do exist, even in the middle of the swamp !
(the one walking on the wooden path is my son)
