Back home again from holiday with a set of new pictures.
Today I start with a small series of the ‘Fondry des Chiens’.
***
The ‘Fondry des Chiens’ are vegetated open air limestone caves that have spectacular twisting abysses dotted across a giant deeply incised plateau full of colossal boulders.
The huge pits in these chalk rocks, that have a dept till 20 meters, were made by water during millions of years.
These open air caves are a place of great geological interest and a very unique masterpiece of Mother Nature in Belgium.
