Lake Eupen

Description

This freshwater lake is set in the midst of the ‘Hertogenwald’ (the second greatest forest of Belgium) and covers a big area of 126 ha.

Although the lake's water level was about 2 meters lower than normal due to persistent drought and a scorching heat wave, this water is a very important and essential basic element for lots of animals living in the forest.

While making a hike around the lake, one can fully enjoy its admirable and picturesque beauty with dozens of coves and hidden spots.
