Japanese Cornel, also known as Japanese Cornelian Cherry, is a large shrub or small deciduous tree that is native to Japan, Korea and China.
In late winter or early spring, small bright yellow flowers open all along the bare stems.
A wonderful display and very useful for early foraging insects.
