Spotted Orchid

I found a few exceptional plants while exploring the swamps of ‘Hohes Venn’, the greatest National Park of Belgium.

The spotted orchid is a species of wild orchid that is variable in colour, height and scent.

It grows in typical habitats like fens & bogs, wet meadows & wet forests and margins of streams.

Pretty rare in Belgium.

Latin name : Dactylorhiza maculata fuchsii
