Red Poppy

Description

Red poppy (also known as corn poppy, field poppy or Flanders poppy) is notable as an agricultural weed and after World War I as a symbol of dead soldiers.

The plant can produce up to 400 vivid red flowers in a warm season, but every flower lasts only one day.

Grows mostly in fields, beside roads and grasslands.
