White Water Lilies

Water lilies grow only in stand still freshwaters, like large ponds and lakes.

In the past, the roots of this plant were crushed and mixed with wine by monks as……. CONTRA-aphrodisiac !
Did it work ? No idea (and I’m not gonna try it to find out !)
