Willow Emerald Damselfly

Description

The Willow Emerald is a damselfly with a typical metallic green body and is distributed all over Europe except the British Isles and Scandinavia.

Its natural habitat exists of ponds and lakes with overhanging willows, alders or birches which are used for breeding.

The shot shows a male specimen resting on a bended Red Willow twig.
