Description

I witnessed a fascinating nature scene.
While a Large Red Damselfly was busy laying eggs on submerged water vegetation, she was attacked by a gang of Water Striders.

All the Water Striders grabbed together onto the unfortunate insect and its body was punctured by their strong forelegs with sharp claws.
In the end, the prey’s inside was completely sucked out by their piercing mouthparts

After a few minutes, nothing remained of the poor damselfly.
