Unbelievable but true.
We had a bit of snowfall the last days and yesterday morning I spotted this caterpillar crawling THROUGH THE SNOW !
Couldn’t believe my eyes, but here’s the prove.
It’s the caterpillar of a Black-veined White (see picture below).
I guess this poor chap must have been disturbed in its hibernation by a bird, a mouse, a rabbit, a squirrel, a mole…..?
After taking the picture, I wished him good luck.
