The Living Forest (290) : The power of water

Description

In Belgium, this year we had a chilly and very wet summer so far.

In July, after a period of 48 hours of CONTINUOUSLY very heavy rainfall and cloudbursts, lots of new sparkling waterfalls were formed spontaneously in my favourite forest with water coming from the higher situated hills.

I made this shot 12 hours after the rain stopped and this spot is normally dry.
It took 7 days before the waterfall was completely gone again.
A small illustration of the power of water.

Location : ‘Hertogenwald’ at Eupen (Belgium)
