The Fungi world (74) : Birch polypore

A fungus in the snow is not really an everyday scene, but I found one.

It’s a Birch polypore, a fungus that grows almost exclusively on weakened birches as a parasite and causes brown rot and eventually death of the tree, as happened with the one in the shot.
