The Saffron Ringless Amanita is a fungus with a sweet smelling odour that can be found from mid-summer until autumn, mostly in grassy or mossy forest clearings.
My shot shows the last stage of its life after a fresh rain shower.
It’s a very rare fungus standing high on the Red List of strongly vulnerable and threatened species !
