When the nights are getting colder and colder with the first frost temperatures, then the wood blewit starts to grow.
It’s a fairly distinctive and attractive fungus with gorgeous shades of purple lilac to violet brown.
Dutch name : Paarse schijnridderzwam
German name : Violetter Rötelritterling
Latin name : Clitocybe nuda (previous Lepista nuda)
