Description

The special growth habit imbricated one above the other and in rows of fused with each other gives the hairy curtain crust an artistic look.

In the last stage of its life, bristly hairs are growing on the fruiting bodies.

This fungus grows always on dead hardwood trunks and can be found in all seasons.
