Street artists: Brazilian twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo. known as Os Gêmeos

Inspired by the history of Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, a former train building factory trasformed into a contemporary art center, as well as by the close proximity of railway lines running parallel to the site, Efêmero by Os Gêmeos transforms the factory wall into the back of a train car, recreating the silhouette of a city train on a monumental scale as it projects itself through the local context along an imaginary voyage; therefore, Efêmero appears to be in motion, as if it is speeding through the city. Just like they already did with the mural in Stockholm [vedi foto], the Swedish SUBWAY model retired from circulation once again becomes the city’s metonymic symbol. This piece was part of a project “Outside the Cube” which involved from 2016 to 2018 innovative new approaches to art in public space.
