The street art works were commissioned by Don Augusto Casolo of the San Lorenzo church. 11 street artists retell two millennia of the city’s history. Although each artist has his own distinct style, the sections work together beautifully to create a cohesive visual story of key moments in Milano’s past. Street Artists: Acme 107, Encs, Gatto Nero, Gatto Max, Gep, Gianbattista Leoni, Kasy 23, Luca Zammarchi, Mr. Blob, Neve and 750ml. Basilica di San Lorenzo Milano 2017
On a 150 meters long wall behind the former Italcementi factory are the murals made by fifty artists, including Italian Orticanoodles and Polish M-City (already guests of some exhibitions at the Traffic Gallery in via San Tommaso). The murals date back to September 2008, when street artists used to meet in the street to create their works in a single day. Via David Bergamo
Street artists: Brazilian twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo. known as Os Gêmeos Inspired by the history of Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, a former train building factory trasformed into a contemporary art center, as well as by the close proximity of railway lines running parallel to the site, Efêmero by Os Gêmeos transforms the factory wall into the back of a train car, recreating the silhouette of a city train on a monumental scale as it projects itself through the local context along an imaginary voyage; therefore, Efêmero appears to be in motion, as if it is speeding through the city. Just like they already did with the mural in Stockholm [vedi foto], the Swedish SUBWAY model retired from circulation once again becomes the city’s metonymic symbol. This piece was part of a project “Outside the Cube” which involved from 2016 to 2018 innovative new approaches to art in public space. Hangar Bibocca Milano 2017

In Northern Ireland, the Eleventh Night or 11th Night refers to the night before 12th July, a yearly Ulster Protestant celebration. Le fresque est devenu un « classique » du street-art marseillais. Snösätragränd Hall Of Fame Rågsved, Stockholm Sweden Not connected by any main roads, Snösätra industriområde for a long time was a forgotten and run-down industrial area in southern Stockholm. That changed in 2014 when the landowners gave permission for the grey and debilitated walls to be painted over by graffiti artists. Snösätra Graffiti Wall of Fame thus became one of Europe´s largest graffiti exhibitions.

Street artists: Brazilian twin brothers Otavio Pandolfo and Gustavo Pandolfo. known as Os Gêmeos The mural was paint as a part of The Millennium Tour in Stockholm based on the trilogy of books by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson. The girl is the character of Lisbeth Salander. Red haired then dyed raven black, pale, androgynous young woman, Lisbeth is gifted, but deeply troubled, and works as researcher and computer hacker. The piece carries a special significance both for the artists and the city as it's the first official mural of Stockholm since the 1970s. The city council had a zero tolerance towards anything graffiti related for over 20 years. Using the buildings structure as a frame of their work, the artists created a simple illusion of depth as the background for the image. Within this space they placed their signature yellow characters. The pattern on the shoes serves as a window into a new dimension in which Os Gemeos is tipping their hat to the style that they were most characterized by in the 90s. This willingness to bring the old into contact with the new is something you can also notice in the toy subway car. Just like they already did with Efêmero [vedi foto] in Milan, the SUBWAY model used once again becomes the city’s metonymic symbol, and in this case, they used the former green Stockholm metro that was retired from circulation years ago. Street artists:Swedish Joakim Nyström. Within the Western culture, skulls usually depict the dark death. For the Aztecs skulls were a positive symbol, not only of death but also of rebirth. Supposedly the symbolism of a sugar skull is rooted in the decoration around the eyes. Flowers are meant to symbolize life, while cob webs symbolize death. Burning candles set inside the eyes are a sign of remembrance. These items can also be used in combination to personalize the main focus of the skull as well. (Vagabondo, I Nomadi) Street artists: Swedish Linus Lundin aka YASH Aside from the impressive complexity and near realism of his murals (using mainly just spray cans), His works usually draws inspiration from people, animals and their bodies. Light, colors and emotion play a central role in his work as well as a love for shapes and simplicity.YASH’s characters with their baby-like big heads, possess so much emotion that you can’t help but stare and wonder.. ‘Morning’ by street artists JBAK (JBAK is a collaboration between James Bullough and Addison Karl), painted for the aborted Berlin Artbase 2012 event at the former NSA listening station of Teufelsberg, West Berlin. Teufelsberg (German for Devil’s) is a man-made hill of rubble in the Grunewald Forest of West Berlin. Nowadays,Teufelsberg refers not only to this hill that rises about 80 mt above the surrounding Teltow plateau, but also to the American abandoned listening station that sits on top of it like an abandoned warehouse, all covered in graffiti and beautiful murales, a veritable street art gallery. The classical world of Ballet meets the colourful modern world of street art. Brazilian Eduardo Kobra is best known for his massive-scale, brightly coloured murals infused with bold lines that often portray some of the most iconic people throughout history. Kobra usually spends a lot of time in museums and libraries exploring the city’s history before he starts a new work. After he gets an idea of the history of the location, he chose an old photograph that evokes a sense of memory and nostalgia for the local community. The technique of using bright colours and repeating squares and triangles allows him to bring to life the famous people portrayed in his works. When he visited the Bolshoi Documentation Center of Moscow in 2013, he fell in love with an old black and white photograph of Maya Plisetskaya, one of greatest dancer in the history of Russian ballet. From this photo he created a massively-scaled portray of Maya Plisetskaya on a wall of Moscow. Today this mural is a true memorial in honor of the Russian dancer who died in 2015 at age 89. Old Pfefferberg Brewery In the 19th century the "Bairischbier Brauerei Pfeffer" on the road to Pankow (today Fehrbelliner Strasse / corner Schönhauser Allee) consisted only of a small brewery with a cellar and a beer garden with wooden pavilions where beer was served. After 1851 the brewery changed hands many times, expanded and was converted into the seat of Prenzlauer Berg district department (1922), a chocolate factory (1934), and a bakery. In 1949 the owners were expropriated and the area became “property of the people.” Until 1972 there have been various administrations, a cultural centre, stores, and a public kitchen. The beer garden was in active use throughout. After 1973, the Prenzlauer Berg district communal administration of housing controlled the large building complex. By 1991 all 21 buildings stood under monumental protection, and with financial support of the Land Berlin since 1999 the entire area of the former brewery belongs to the “Foundation Pfefferberg”. In recent years, the renovated Pfefferberg became a modern centre for cultural, commercial services, and social institutions with a theatre, galleries, event halls, restaurants, a small brewery, and a hostel.

The traditional world of Flamenco meets the grey modern world of underground Architecture 'Entre dos aguas. Entre dos Universos' is a huge mural created by street artists Okuda and Rosh333 to pay a tribute to Spanish flamenco guitarist Francisco Sánchez Gómez, known as Paco de Lucía. The two artists, in collaboration with architect Antonyo Marest and under the supervision of Madrid Street Art Project, were responsible for turning the new Estación Paco de Lucía / Línea 9 in Madrid into the first Spanish example of urban artwork. His pop surrealism of geometric prints and multicoloured ephemeral architectures raises contradictions about existentialism, the universe, the infinite, the meaning of life, and the false freedom of capitalism. The mural helps people passing by to start conversations about the conflict between modernity and tradition.
Two murals titled The Rapture in Madrid, in which a stocky minotaur kidnaps a horse, first takes it under his arm and then carries it on his back. The two scenes are figurative, in sepia tones. JAZ, the street artist, has long been inspired by his native Latin American culture and its chaotic history, as it relates to his own personal life. His dynamic and colorful images of muscular figures, hybrid animals and mythological beings are often used as stand-ins for the different and overlapping societies that he has observed throughout his career, and as a Mexican-Argentinean artist. Franco Fasol, alias JAZ, is an Argentina street artist born in Buenos Aires in 1981. He studied ceramic art and theatre scenography but since 2008 he has been actively involved in creating inspirational murals. His art is mainly large walls with a theme of either wrestling or some sort of conflict. Recently he has switched into animals and he usually uses a patern of repetition or a mirroring technique. He has attended numerous festivals around the world and his work is considered highly influential in the global street art community. Plaza de Puerto Rubio, Puente de Vallecas Madrid 2019
Paisage Tetuán The project Paisage Tetuán arose in Intermediæ, a space in the Matadero of Madrid (former slaughterhouse converted into arts centre) for the production of artistic projects based on experimentation and shared learning, which have been awarded by the Arts Department of Madrid City Council. The main aim is to connect artists, spaces, and networks, in order to stimulate new ways of involving different audiences in the world of art and culture. Paisage Tetuán seeks to improve the urban landscape of Tetuán, and, consequently, it has brought interesting artistic interventions to its architectural and urban heritage. From impressive murals, photographs that bring back memories of the neighbourhood and its residents or an urban allotment. Gonzalo Borondo’s mural intervention realized for Paisage Tetuán expresses criticism against the excesses of rulers. With a sober and mysterious style, the artist turns the walls into true visual poems. Born in Castille y Leon, we may say art has always run through Gonzalo's veins since his father was a restorer of religious art, and he started drawing when he was a child. Ever since he's been able to express with an amazing realism different faces of people. In his artworks you will always find an open interpretation of the relationship between the location and the artwork itself.

Corner Goutte d’Or/ex-Boris Vian The Goutte d'Or is a neighbourhood in Paris, located in the 18th arrondissement. The neighbourhood has large numbers of North African and sub-Saharan residents. It is known for its open-air market, le marché Dejean, The artist painted a fence of 30 meters long for several weeks as a tribute to female figures related to symbols of power and protection. The mural, sponsored by the mayor of Paris, hopes for a better integration of women in the public space. The central figure is Pachamama - which means 'mother earth' in the Quechua language of the Incas. She is the mother of the planet Earth, the World, Nature, space and time. Mother of all perceivable reality. Goddess benevolent and protective, that feeds us, breeds and sustains us. And it keeps us in balance and in harmony. *Street artist : Claire Courdavault

'Butterò questo mio enorme cuore tra le stelle un giorno Giuro che lo farò E oltre l'azzurro della tenda nell'azzurro io volerò Quando la donna cannone D'oro e d'argento diventerà Senza passare dalla stazione L'ultimo treno prenderà... E con le mani amore, per le mani ti prenderò E senza dire parole nel mio cuore ti porterò E non avrò paura se non sarò bella come dici tu Ma voleremo in cielo in carne ed ossa Non torneremo più'.
