Papireto's crocodile

Palermo.
Legend has it that the Papireto, one of the rivers of Palermo, which now runs underground in a river bed (other rivers are Kemonia, which is also covered, and the Oreto), was in ancient times connected by a mysterious channel, with the river Nile and in this way they would be in Palermo crocodiles.
This, embalmed, it is, since 1872, hanging from the ceiling of a room that once housed a grocery store full of spices and colonial merchandise.
