Curriculum Vitae

Michael Waitz was born in 1964 in Coburg, Franconia. He completed his studies in painting and graphics at University of Arts Berlin with a high master degree as a pupil of well known Prof. Klaus Fußmann in 1996. After a period of working as an assistant teacher at Art Academy Dresden, he has been a free artist since 1997.

His work is overwhelming influenced by living, visiting and working on projects in African countries such as Tanzania and Mali in recent years. At his home in Berlin, Michael is frequently on the way to assemble the views on reality he has found by thinking different using painting, graphic and photography.
