Castle 'de Borrekens' at Vorselaar (Belgium)

This original medieval watercastle with numerous towers and battlements dates back from the 13th century and is completely built out of white sandstone.

By renovation works in the 17th, 18th and 19th century, the settlement changed from a square walled stronghold into a beautiful fairytale castle with neo-gothic look.
