Castle ‘Cortewalle’ at Beveren (Belgium)

The oldest part of this water castle dates back to the early 15th century when it was built in white sandstone in Flemish Renaissance style.
An embellishing restoration took place in the eighties of last century.

It’s one of the few castles in Belgium that was never destroyed or was never under siege.
