Diamond Dove / Diamanttaube oder auch Rotaugentaube Geopelia cuneata I would like to show you a few more pigeons, so this is the second one. Diamond Doves ( Geopelia cuneata ) - also known as (Small) Red-eyed Doves or Small Turtle Doves - are native to mainland Australia, where they are the smallest naturally occurring pigeons - followed by the Peaceful Doves .They are 19-21 cm long and weigh 35 grams. They are mainly found in the interior of Central, Western and Northern Australia . When Central Australia goes through a drought, they can move to areas where water and food are readily available; typically in areas with recent rainfall - including coastal areas as well as urban areas (parks and gardens) in South Australia. I have seen these in a park in South Australia. Infos von Beauty of birds https://ebird.org/species/diadov1/
