The pearly webcap is a pretty rare fungus that can be found from summer until autumn, mainly in beech woods but also occasionally under conifers.
With its pale lilac colour, it’s a quite attractive appearance in the forest, but this fungus contains a toxin that destroys human kidneys and liver when eaten.
Indicated as ‘endangered’ on the Red List of vulnerable and threatened species !
